I would like to be an engineer (UK) and need some advice please?
Hello. I did not do well in science or math in school because I find it interesting and so I did not apply. But now I'm a little older I realize what a mistake I made and how I would turn small adjustments to my shed to a worthwhile career that could help people. Ideally, love working with metal, such as design / build heavy plant machinery, armored vehicles, drilling rigs, skyscrapers, bridges, solid things in other words a large scale. My perfect job would be an "average man." You design a new excavator or tanks or containers in the paper, give it to me, and I work technical issues as workers build me with the help of the designer, reach compromises and to overcome the difficulties as a team. Does this job exist? What is this field of engineering known as civil engineering? Working specifically with no-nonsense metal? end "Now I have too many responsibilities to a degree Uni-what are my options? Thanks!
Mechanical Engineering is the one you want, most races are heavy on theory and light on practical things, but if you tinker in your shed you should have most of these things until now. Not sure about your dream job, I guess it varies from company to company. To my knowledge, work engineering tend to be practical or theoretical design of both, no. Open University could do a course, not sure check your site, or your local university although this will probably be more practical than the design based on
