My 8 year old broke my LCD TV, the kind where the trouble?

He came to the screen with your Wii Remote and wrote on the screen, by accident. He admitted that when confronted, but how to punish a child for eight years as well as you can guess the television and video games plate have been removed for punishment by his own hand! Is it enough that he admitted it and you feel sick or I'm a bit liberal, I am not the "woodshed" species Dad! I really do not have $ 2,000 to replace it so the whole family is at a loss now, when it comes to shows and movies favoite etc. As for being able to spend more "quality" time together and prevents the shift to an extent so that it is not feasible to conduct a positive situation.
