I know how to find the minimal cost, but am not sure for this problem As the objective function. Besides, I know that for the equation of constraint that would be created is equal to the total, but I'm not sure what to think Like that. the problem is: Wellington buiding is a shed with a square base of x by x feet feet, and is h feet high. Restriction seems to be 360 m ^ 3 = x ^ 2 * and therefore, y = 360 / x ^ 2 = Cost $ 4x ^ 2 + (4 sides) (xy) ($ 3) + $ 6 x 2 = 10x ^ 2 + 12xy f (x) = 10x 12x ^ 2 + (360 / x ^ 2) = 10x ^ 2 + 12 * 360 / xf '(x) = 20x – 12 * 360 / x ^ 2 0 = 20x – 12 * 360 / x ^ 2 = 20x (x ^ 3 12 * 18), so …. 0 = (x – 6) (x ^ 2 + 6x + 36) Therefore, when x = 6, yields a minimum cost.
