Biofeedback – you are in control – Feel. Think. Act!
Success id nothing but success …
Already as a child, my need a major change: I was reluctant to repeat anything more than two or three times. I was not the kind of person who ate the same piece of chicken every day, wore blue jeans only, or slept in the same time. When learned to play the violin (At the age of 5 ½ years, on a violin bigger than myself) I found it difficult to repeat parts or exercises as they were written, and began to improvise whenever I could, playing with the Orquesta Ciudad I stop playing when the leaves music said, adding some notes here and there – much to the resentment drivers. He chose to change the instruments played – at will. Unfortunately (Yours) did not work. My inner drive for change has not stopped.
My parents, teachers, friends and acquaintances found it difficult to understand that this behavior Mine was due to my need for challenge, something new, growth and personal development. I did not fear failure – and even today I still believe that success means having done nothing. On the other hand – does not make us think of a change, so that failure is a much more significant factor in the search for solutions.
Change in itself is positive, as seen in the history of one of my former patients – a renowned musician in the Philharmonic orchestra, which really managed to his dream of playing in the best orchestras. One day he stopped to ask themselves – what now? And he had no response. Traveled with the orchestra in concert tours, he played in several magnificent halls – and do not enjoy any of it. He found it especially difficult when he had to get up several times in the Encores. "… When I know it will be an encore, the very idea makes me sick," he would say. And encores were still arriving, because the orchestra is one of the best, and ends each show with at least 10 repetitions. In short, I needed a change, but could not admit even to himself.
Similarly, many other people feel the change as a threat to their existence. That's why people usually prefer to maintain their routine and monotonous life for years. They eat the same food, living in the same house, do not change the furniture, never change jobs and retain that same morning and bedtime. Gives them a sense Security – which is false – and at the same time causes changes such as dissatisfaction with their work and boredom. Eventually you will discover one important thing: ROUTINE DESTROY ALL – Friendship career, and – above all – sex. This book can give you some tools to help you make the change.

The need for change is only one of the topics covered in this book. The election is the second. In my view, as a person and a therapist, who – people – have the ability to choose our thoughts, emotions, decisions, all of which are followed by reactions and behavior.
In other words: The past is not our most, the future is not yet known – And they think, feel and behave here and now! This is what we can control. Would not it be better to live our lives according to what "has" that do as you will always feel that we have the power to navigate through different situations. Therefore, we must listen to our will, or lack of it, and try to act accordingly.
This book focuses on the ways in which we can control our physical and emotional sensations. We can do it. We will describe, in simple language and of course, some of the tools with which we can make the choice and change.

In this book, I have chosen to focus on several key issues (Including depression problems so typical of a certain age), pain, sex, all participants in our body and soul, throughout our lives. I do not no discrimination between body and soul, because, as I see it – there is no soul without body and no body without a soul. It is an entity.
Special emphasis in the biofeedback technique that allows us to learn, through simple devices, how to control the various actions that take place in our body. I refer to activities normally considered uncontrollable – such as body temperature and the degree of pain. The book is based primarily on cognitive behavioral therapy psychotherapeutic combined with biofeedback.
Due to the vast clinical experience I have gained thirty-six years of work, I am convinced, now more than ever, physicians and other professionals should convey the knowledge,
they have acquired in this area of science in general, and especially the psychology and behavior not only professionals but people who live their daily lives, dealing with a variety of situations. The vast knowledge of a man, the greater its power.
Knowledge is power
Knowledge is a full tank, which allows us to function in various life situations in the best case, the right way. The book also contains stories of patients I have worked, all under false names.
I would also like to emphasize that all information, proposals and the life stories presented here are intended to complement the diagnosis, treatment and guidance given by the professional system (medical, psychological, etc). In no way should be replaced.
Efficiency is not effectiveness
In this chapter I want to focus on two concepts: "efficiency" and "effectiveness." There is a difference between the two. Efficiency means doing things by the book; Efficiency means doing things right, for a given situation. When we play by the book, not always achieve the best results. A cleaning woman, is supposed to clean the house in six hours and six hours ago exactly – is efficient. She has done its job, and paid by the hour. Another cleaning woman, finished the job in three hours, make less money, but as far as the lady of the house is in question – which is effective.
Since in everyday life situations are changing, and not in our control, we must be effective: We have be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
When I wrote this book, I wished, first, to be effective at the end of reading, you the reader will be able to apply some of my recommendations. The book does not provide a ready-made formula by which to act. It is the intention of providing tools effectively applicable to changing situations. The book is a kind of screwdriver, for use by the reader. You can not see an iron bar, but you can adjust screws loose in their glasses and opening a switch.
The book here is arranged so that each chapter is a separate entity. You can concentrate on chapters that are of most interest to you, except the first chapter, the presentation of the technique of biofeedback and its main tools – Which must be read in any case. Because this form of writing, duplication can occur in some of the chapters.
I sincerely hope that the final reading that has achieved a sense of confidence and a feeling that can effectively control your body and your emotions – and in fact do. You can do it – now! You have a great power – in the words he chooses to use, and certainly in the thoughts you want to express. If you manage to select and implement, but one idea – this will be my reward.
