Advice on transforming 12×8 storage shed space funny guy?
I live in Texas, where it's hot! The ship is built HardyBoard from (hopefully spelled correctly) and now has plywood flooring. It is on a concrete base, but rises off the ground. Also has shingles on the roof. I have no idea how to start. My vision is to have a comfortable little room for my kids to hang out with friends. I would like to put a television, a couple of shelves and some furniture (like a bed …. possibly a couch). I'm not looking to have water and plumbing there. (The ship has electricity.) Step 1 Any advice is welcome! I hope I have given enough information.
Budget dictates everything, but make sure you have some windows and a good door. If you can afford some small skylight windows in the roof to go a long way to let out excess heat and cool things. What color are the tiles the ceiling? Darker colors will draw more heat than lighter colors and since it is in Texas that could make a big difference in how hot it gets inside. Does lining? If so make sure you do not come through the nails on the inside, if a draw on the walls with plywood or boards to prevent possible injury. Good luck with your project:)
