Where I can find discount passes to the attractions of Chicago, which is not Citypass?
We live in the north to the suburbs of Chicago, and I would take my family to Chicago once a week this summer at the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, etc. I would like a Citypass but expire in a week or so after purchase. Is there anything similar to Citypass, which provides discount admission to each attraction once, but ends up a couple of months later? Even the most attractions have days off are during the school year. I do not want to take my children out of school.
If you have a library card you can Chicago Museum Kraft get a passport for free. Call ahead to see which ones have (but can not hold for you.) It's kind of crapshoot. The other option is GoChicagoCard, but that does not really work for your situation either. With that one, you buy the number of days you want to use for (1, 2, 3, 5 or 7) and can reach many attractions for free, but the days must be used consecutively. Therefore, the short answer is no. However, Adler and Shedd is free the week of June 17 – 22, and the field has discounted admission. The Art Institute is free throughout the year Thursday night, as is the Children's Museum of Chicago. The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum is free on Thursday and is free Lincoln Park Zoo. Chicago Cultural Center is always free, as is the City Museum in the Tower Water.
