will be drilling tiles under my house cause the tile to crack?
I just bought a house and had all the tiles instead of im getting my cable plugged into the new place and that means they have to go under my house, drilling through the wooden base which go through pictures of the creation of a small hole for the cable to go through im really worried this will cause the tile to crack and has a domino affects all the pieces in my living room is cracked. I may sound silly, but hey im just freaking out and do not want $ 3,500 for the drain, can anyone shed some light please!
If you have to go through the tile (hopefully not), move from top to bottom. Then, through a mortar, if possible. If the tables are set correctly and use a masonry bit but that won t have a problem. The cable company is responsible not worry .. Do not let them use a hammer drill if! It is quite possible loose tile (which won t be located at a later date) to break the link. Especially if the tile was created Less than a month ago. The practice provides thin have the time to heal properly (this only if a hammer drill is used).
