how to fill Stowe, VT get the weekend of Columbus Day?
thinking of going 7 to 12 October this is our anniversary, but the page hotel website says there is a crafts festival fall foliage, and that weekend is Columbus Day and Canadian Thanksgiving (sorry, could not I had one!) so I was wondering how crowded this weekend might get? apparently all the hotel space was sold, but I have no idea what that means to the extent that the lines, crowds, waiting tables in restaurants, etc. do not have to spend our anniversary, just like it! anyone out there has been to Stowe sold out on weekends and can shed some light on the situation? thanks!
Fall foliage is a big tourist season in New England. Beautiful, picturesque, and probably pretty good for a weekend anniversary. You will never get New York City traffic Stowe, but will as busy as it can get. Just make some reservations in advance and you should be fine. You might consider a visit to Ben & Jerry for a fun sweet.
