AUSSIES: What exactly is "inflation" if the house of clouds and food prices are not affected?
The cost of house in Melbourne has increased by at least 1.000% since early 1980. This is not an exaggeration. You could buy a house in Fitzroy for $ 45,000 in 1984. These days they'd be lucky to get a tin shed in Fitzroy for less than $ 450,000. The cost of food has increased at least 40% last year. And so and so forth. However, the "inflation rate" has remained a small percentage. Why? Surely it makes sense if not reflect the real increase in the cost of living? I need not sponsor, Bolshevik.
I think you will find that the Coalition has to change the parameters for the development of a number of things, including inflation figures and employment, so the answer they receive is more about what they want. Otherwise how hell inflation may stay at around 3% when, as you say some things that have gone through the roof? I believe that inflation for the rich can be that but for the person who works should be more like 10% or more.
