Weird job prospects … help freakin out atm?
Hello, a little difficult situation. I had an interview in Melbourne (QLD flew below) and had a positive result. The day after the interview, the interviewee was contacted on behalf of the company to say they were impressed and was elected basically (can not remember exactly what she said). Anyway here she said it more this week. I received a call today from someone who works at this company HR asked me to provide references. I thought it was strange that the other lady (who works in human resources company and the same is leading the selection for the post) called me and said send me a cotnract basically covered this week. To further complicate things, I got a call asking me to travel to Melbourne again to be interviewed on Monday (4 days away) with another company. I have no idea what to do. Should I go to Melbourne for the second interview? Should I call the contracting company first and tell you about this interview and others confirm that I must provide my references?
I had a similar situation. It was by a government agency and is out of state. I only asked for clarification to the original person who interviewed me. It turned out that my case went to the next stage so if I did not go for second interview, I was out of the race. I call the hiring company to make sure they are all on the same page.
