trigonometric identities, is that correct?
I have been asked to show that: sina + sinB ————– = = cot (ab) Thing – Cosben all my work takes me only a starting point and what is worse, when I assigned arbitrary values b and try it on my calculator, the two are not equal. is this really an identity? can anyone shed some light? … pleaasee … I think I found the problem. I think the question was poorly written. should have read =- cot ((ab) / 2) that corrects answer on my calculator and let the answer is found in about 2 seconds with the Werner / identities Simpson. However, I am interested in knowing whether other people the question is correct.
If you have found values which does not work, then it can not be true. It has provided a counter-example, which is sufficient to show that is not always true:)
