We rented an area in Nebraska and on Saturday our pole shed collapsed in my signf other and broke bones and also lost several things of value that is broken by the weight of snow on the roof. My question is whether homeowners insurance cover homeowners these things and time lost from work due to injuries? Thank you for your> help

Homeowers Insurance will not cover you or your child, you need their own insurance for that. They might not even cover the shed, the snow was not authorized, it would not be adequately maintained.
