What kind of dog should we get?
At this point, we are looking at the Australian Terrier, Norwich Terrier, Japanese Shiba Inu, Finnish Lapphund, Norwegian Buhund, and Lancashire Heeler. This will be our first dog. We are a family of four. My sister is 10 and I have 16. We are looking for a dog that is intelligent, easy to train, not to throw too much, not high maintenance, affectionate, and maybe a good watchdog that does not yap too much. If you have any information about dog breeds above or any other additonal information on what type of dog to be good for us, please answer. All help is appreciated. Thanks!
I live on a farm and have had many dogs. I think my favorites have been my Austrailian Shepherds. They are everything listed above, above all very intelligent and nice! I know 3 of them and do not trade for anything! They do not get too big. Mine are the size of a small laboratory or so. If you want something smaller, also come in mini and toy. Happy hunting!
