Any advice on how to work with wood, plastic?
I'm considering building a wooden ramp plastic. The ramp current, made of pressure treated wood is increasingly creaky and showing its age of 15. The ramp leading from the courtyard of a high base covered 00 high because of my backyard tilted upward. So I'm considering making this a plastic timber, particularly of 2 x 4. If anyone has worked with him, you can offer advice? For example, what did you use to cut? Cross cut saws or hangover? If a circular saw, the number of teeth? Did you fix them with nails or screws? If your nails, you drill holes in the first place? I plan to drive a nail a few shingles for traction. I live in northern Virginia, where the climate can be quite extreme in both summer and winter. We've had about 45 more than 90 degree days this summer and last winter we get 8 'of snow, however, that was a record of all time. Thanks in advance for any advice!
When you say I assume you mean plastic wood composite material used on the terrace. You can cut with a skill saw using a blade with 24 teeth. Want fewer teeth to prevent heat buildup. As for the setting, the use of screws composite deck and pre-drilling in the first place. This product will work great on the deck of the ramp is not recommended but use it to frame your ramp that is what is intended.
