A simple way to prepare my yard of a house. Floor? At ground level?

I want to buy a shed from Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, etc.. Just a simple 10 x 11 or slightly smaller or larger frames of metal poured. How do I prepare for my lawn shed. I am under the assumption that most pre fab metal framed sheds sold in these stores home improvement do not have any soil type. Do I need an apartment? Or you can put on your lawn. How I get level? Thanks in advance!
