How much should I expect to pay per sq. ft. for a porch with a roof covered base?

I live in Northern Virginia right outside DC and have made many improvements to my home so I know I should not come at the cost of adding isolated. There is no deck or patio so it will be from zero. That will be 17 by 20. So what is your response?

It really just depends on who you get in. (contractor) Your best bet is: Call three contractors for an estimate. After passing all the information below, then choose the best price. BBB check on them. Call or visit their finished work. Ask for references. Make sure they are insured and bonded. Ask about how they want to be paid. Quotas are a good way to know if they are a good contractor instead of a contractor to consult with more than half up front. Been there, done that!
