Why is God of the Christians, especially in the Old Testament, so obsessed with blood?

blood sacrifice, blood rituals, ceremonies Blood and blood feuds, bloodshed, even equal to the life blood (Le 17:14), blood plays a central role in dealing with the Christian God. In the covenant of Abraham with his own blood should be spilled. Later, a sacrificial animal was covered in blood (Lev 5:06). "Apart from shedding of blood is no remission" (Hebrews 9:22). This continues in the New Testament by the shedding of blood for Christ (1 Jn 1:7) and the symbolism in John 6:53 (And Jesus said unto them, Verily, I say to you, you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.) to understand why blood would be fatal for important people and primitive, even have clued into the fact that losing too much blood results in death – but what is in him a god?

I'm Jewish and why I'm not the audience was directed to answer this question. But because the "Old Testament" is an adaptation of the Hebrew Bible, the Tanach (Torah, Nevim, Ketuvim)., I would add to this framework to help understand the contextual meaning of the Tanakh before the concepts have changed in the dogma Christian. The Christian Bible, the Old and New Testaments, it presents a concept of the nature of God and many other items were redefined central doctrine of the Torah. The New Testament is the antithesis of the Tanakh, and that very change of name of the eternal covenant of an "old" covenant by Tertullian in the early third century was an affirmation stated that his "new" covenant has been replaced. I hope you do not mind Hatikva is based on the response to mine, as it combines well with many things that I posted earlier in the R / A a few times. If you are interested in learning the details, let me give you some things to think about the study on this topic. With its response in mind, realize that the world view of the Levant and ancient knowledge of how natural processes operate in the universe was very different from what * collective human civilization known today. The lesson of Abraham did not even let Sarah know what is about to do, is what remains clear contextually weight as a lesson for human sacrifice in an ancient world and the land where almost all the villages surrounding engaged in such practices. The sun is believed that around Earth and the blood is believed to lead / represent the life force. The blood represents the essence of human life and animals. That was a belief shared by both the country people Israel and the pagan polytheistic nation and people around him. How do you relate to this concept of blood = life, is one of the concepts of two religions in conflict with the doctrines, among others. My answers to complex questions are often long, and this is no exception to that. In fact, I think requires answers to three of my long past to help understand how well an antithesis of the Tanakh is the use of the Christian Bible in which blood is dogma. I will give links to where you can find in the trials and the last response: Please read the following http://mamaspajamaparty.blogspot.com/2010/03/dispelling-longstanding-bloody-lie.html http://mamaspajamaparty.blogspot.com/2009/04/idolatry-human-sacrifice-and.html And finally, the long answer in which we try to give an overview of several hundred years in a response .. shows how different Christian doctrine applying the worldview and beliefs of the Greeks and Romans to the new doctrine of trying to assimilate the Jewish people of existence. BA did not get elected, but my best to condense the story. The asker selected an amen corner BA agree with their assumptions, of course, each person is free of his own views, but I hope that the historical evidence is apparent in my response here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid = 20101025062926AAPT9SI http://es.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090808182439AAjyaZF similar response in the history of religions in the Middle East. I realize my answer (Which really should include reading long test and answers) may be considered "boring" by a few who want to short fragments, but in recent years I have received hundreds of letters of appreciation for the information contained in the letters and the details that helped inspire others to go to research and learn more about themselves. That's why I write such long answers. Some people appreciate long answers without mission / proselytizing or insulting rants, or demonization of the other whose religion / doctrine / beliefs are not right, but provide detailed information, background and references for learning. I have many references in links. Shalom you.

As the Nazi war machine marched across Europe and Jews were rounded up and killed, a small town in France became an unlikely haven for the persecuted. The small village of Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, which was inhabited mostly by Huguenots (devout Protestants whose own history involved being persecuted), became a place where families took in Jews and hid them in their houses and on their farms. The …
