Description: The Collie is a large dog that is muscular, but elegant, and is a strong dog. The skull is flat on top, the wedge-shaped head. The snout is rounded, sloping down to the black nose. Preparation: The long coated Collies need weekly brushing, or more frequently, while the smooth variety brushing is needed every few weeks. Estero may occur in the long coated, and the dog is not showing it may be more to cut it. The Collie can swim when necessary. The collie has a very long coated twice year, while the cover is a smooth average shedder.

Living Conditions: The Collie can live in an apartment, provided the mental and physical activities provided. This breed requires a medium sized garden with a shaded area in a warm climate.
