loft conversion in a council property?
we live in a pensioners1 bed roomed council bungalow that we rent from the council. my wife has a big problem with my snoring so rather than retire to the settee in the lounge i am thinking about getting the loft converted to another bedroom. has anybody been in the same situation and do you think it will be worth it asking the council if i can convert the loft space? all the ex pence will be mine of course. if this fails i’m seriously thinking about the garden shed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks in advance
I imagine that the council will refuse your request because they have strict safety rules. It is also not your property.
There is no harm in asking tho.
