My boyfriend intends to rent space in our building (cold storage) and wondered how to do to charge someone for your items to be stored. It would be more likely to farm machinery, caravans, boats, recreational vehicles, etc. Are we on the size, space requirements, the amount of time by storing? How much can I expect to pay for something like this storage?

Motor homes, boats, backhoes, etc. OK, rental storage of these items per month. You pay by the month, and can come and go as they please with the item. How much to charge? Call around the storage sites and ask how much it will cost to store your caravan, boat, backhoes, etc. Find what rates are going! Be sure to include the cost of insurance when calculating income. The reason is liability insurance to jump high enough to protect your property from hang gliding, Injured while customers are on the lot. Each vehicle owner must show proof of insurance, too, by theft, fire and collision – you do not want any uninsured vehicle parked on their land. Do you have to make improvements to their land to allow access and vehicle safety? Fencing? razor wire shaving? Guard dogs? Great post? Enlarge the door? Extra keys? Insurance? Guns? Bribes zoning commission? Find out what you need, and how Rent is paid to cover that. Remember, you must be able to move things to the client's out of the way if you intend to pack in tight. Otherwise, if you have a lot of land, can the space out. (And you just know some Butthead will empty their septic motorhome earth.)
