The corn snake has not eaten in recent weeks!?
I have a 3 year old corn snake has not eaten since 12/19/06 (14 weeks). At first, I get nervous because it has a habit of doing the same at this time every year. In the past it has gone up to 11 weeks without food, usually in the breeding season. But after he had a voracious appetite and ate very well. He eats live mice, while being monitored so it does not hurt. I have tried weekly feedings, but no luck. The last time shed about 2 weeks ago. It has been very active in his cage, and does not seem sick. I tried a very small mouse to see if that would work. I also tried a new life and brain mouse.He either retreats or ignores his food. When you eat well, a mouse typically less than a minute last time in the cage before eating. I have sat and watched for an hour with no luck. I tried all different times of day.
