The conversion of a bird / ferret yourself covered in enclosure?

I'm looking to make it a garden shed or a bird to make in an outdoor enclosure for my ferrets. I want to add shelves / levels (eg sheds) on the back wall so you can come and open the doors of the levels and cleaning out cages. Would it be better to build the levels of attachment to the aviary or independent? What would be the best material to use? I need something that is strong, and prefer something lighter. Has Have you looked at the outdoor nursery are available? Maybe you could buy or build a base in his plans, but adapted to accommodate ferrets.
