Any good way to make a deer antler SHED trap that will hurt the deer and it's easy?

I have a 3 feet by 4 foot platform that is over 6 inches of soil. At each corner a post up about 4 feet and supports a 3 feet by 4 feet canopy. In the middle of the lower platform I have a stone salt. I had this setup for about 4 years and the deer frequent quite often. Last year I attached halfway up 2×4 horizontal support posts, all the way around. This causes the deer to duck under the 2×4 to get to the salt lick. As nervous as deer are, they are constantly on alert and hit their horns when looking up. Meeting has been very successful thus shed antlers
