The vacation part-time employees (which used to be full-time) / etc holidays?
Hello I am working part time (after Maternity back last year). When I worked five days a week he was entitled to 20 days holiday vacation PLUS 8 banking days. I'm not sure if the bit bank holiday was written in the contract that will have to check, but we have all the full eight days. I am now working only four days a week I have reduced my vacation to 16 days – which is fair enough, but now are losing out on 2 bank as a Friday and not a working day for me. So Solo give me the 6 holidays. Is this right? My partner doesn't work Monday so he gets an extra day off when there are holidays. Surely, if a worker full time receives the full amount, then I should? Can anyone shed some light Purlear? X
Most workers – Either part time or full time – are legally entitled to leave of 4.8 weeks of annual paid holidays. Additional annual leave may be agreed as part of contract worker. a week's leave should allow workers to be absent from work for one week – ie it must be the same amount of time as the work week. If a worker does a five-day week, he or she is entitled to 24 vacation days. If he or she does three days a week, the duty is 14.4 days vacation. Employers can set the times that workers take their holidays, for example for a Christmas parade. If an employee terminates employment, he or she has right to pay by the due time leave and do not have. The Government plans to increase annual leave of 4.8 weeks the right to 5.6 weeks from 1 April 2009. If you works five days a week, your holiday entitlement will increase from 24 days to 28 days (in proportion of part-time staff). Work and Family, not create a legal right to have a paid day off on holidays and this remains a contractual matter directly from ACAS This is what I think it serves.
