im building a small shed, like a 12×12. ?

I am building a small shed and a 12×12. I was wondering if anyone could you tell me how high i should go with the walls, and the height should I go with a gabled roof or look right? I was thinking of going to about 3 feet from the top of the wall to the top. Open to suggestions

I do not have an answer to your question because I think it is a matter of personal preference, but maybe you'd like to try this. Get graph paper and draw the front of the ship to scale, make a couple of designs up or down to the top of the roof, and only see what looks good on paper. After that, it's up to you to choose the photo. Good luck.
